Brian Kere Representing Solomon Islands
Brian Kere was born in New Georgia, Solomon Islands, and began painting at the age of ten. At age of 13, he had sold his first painting.
A self-taught painter, Brian develops his unique style of complex repetitive patterns and scintillating colours using mixed media. In his painting, "Sea-shells (multitudes) represent multi-cultures that are happily inter-woven. They sail through the space of time, living and working together in love, peace, and harmony, with one common constant in mind; the hope that eventually, they will arrive at the sea-shores (promised land or creation beyond the beautiful universe) awaiting."
