TIMOTCA's Director of international research arranges to personally meet with each country’s official cultural representative, Minister of Culture, Director of the National Gallery or appropriate designated official. The Director collaborates with that person in the nomination of the country’s most renowned living artists and, together, they sign the TIMOTCA Artist Nomination Document.

To date, this process of signing the Artist Nomination Document has been accomplished in 63 countries.
