Robert Brandy was born in 1946 in Luxembourg. Since 1973 Brandy has had one-person shows in Aix-en-Provence, Luxembourg, Lyon, Brussels, Heidelberg, Lausanne, Neufchatel, Leverkusen, Manama, Bahrain, Worpswede, Aachen, Paris, Athens, Locarno, New York, Roskilde, Hertogenbosch, Ulm, Saarbrücken, Hamburg, Bonn, The Hague, Munich, Sarrebourg and Geneva, among other places.

 

He has participated in museum exhibitions in Belgrade, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Namur Belgium, Esch, Luxembourg (Quinquinnial of Modern Art), Liège (Biennial of Modern Art), Ostende, Jackson, Mississippi, Cologne, Rome, Vienna, and elsewhere, and his work are in the collections of Luxembourg's Museum of History and Art, Lausanne's Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Modern Art in Rijeka Yugoslavia, the Kärtner Provincial Gallery of Klagenfurt, Austria, and the National Libraries in Paris, Strasbourg, Bern, and Luxembourg.
