Art Beyond Borders - Exhibitions
In every country on earth, art has been used to communicate feelings, manifest dreams and mark humanity's evolution through history.
The “universal language of art” speaks to us across cultures and across centuries. By experiencing art, we can learn more about ourselves and the bond that makes people more alike than different.
Art Beyond Borders celebrates the universality of the artistic impulse and the human need to generate and communicate ideas through form. The artistic process can create equilibrium of expression and comprehension between artist and viewer that transcends national boundaries and cultural differences, proposing and even establishing harmony between individuals and among peoples.
“Art Beyond Borders”, born from collaboration between participating countries’ cultural representatives and TIMOTCA, is a series of unique international exhibitions featuring the works of the world's most renowned living artists. These artists have been nominated by their country’s official cultural representatives and selected by TIMOTCA for participation in the TIMOTCA Cultural Centre and the Art Beyond Borders Exhibitions.
To date, over 60 countries and cultures are represented and the number will increase as the tour of Art Beyond Borders continues, until all countries are represented and the works are installed as the permanent collection of the TIMOTCA Cultural Centre.
