In every country on Earth, art has been used to communicate feel­ings, manifest dreams and mark humanity's evolution through history. The “universal language of art” speaks to us across cultures and across centuries. By experiencing art, we can learn more about ourselves and the bond that makes people more alike than different.

Education is a fundamental goal of TIMOTCA, and is, therefore, an integral component to the Art Beyond Borders Exhibition. Young people who have knowledge of, and comfort with, different cultures and ethnic backgrounds have a much greater opportunity to grow up caring and responsible.

Art Beyond Borders imparts a powerful awareness of the universally connecting spirit of the arts and manifests timeless testimony of the creative spirit found everywhere on earth. Art Beyond Borders demonstrates that all people, regardless of differences, share a common bond that is experienced through the creation and appreciation of art.

Teachers everywhere turn to the arts to build stimulating learning experiences for their students. While encouraging students to pursue their own artistic explorations, TIMOTCA's unique Teachers' Guide, "Explore the World with TIMOTCA," provides a hands-on opportunity to realize the powerful potential for communicating through the universal language of art.

The guide provides an opportunity to explore the world by taking a closer look at the works in the Art Beyond Borders Exhibition, discovering that people the world over are united by a shared creative spirit. By examining and experiencing art, we learn more about ourselves, celebrate the world's diversity, and gain a better understanding of our common bonds.
